As one of the leading technology companies in our country, ASELSAN considers innovation management as an important part of its corporate structure in order to maintain its competitive advantage in its sector and to achieve its vision and strategic goals. In this direction, ASELSAN updates its innovative projects every year with well-attended meetings in order to increase its technological competence.

Within the framework of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, extensive collaborations are established between our company and the ecosystem. For this purpose, joint studies are carried out with various universities, technoparks and public institutions. It is planned to continue these studies in the future.

Technology Management

At ASELSAN, the technology leader of the Turkish Defense Industry and a mission company, technology management is carried out in coordination with ASELSAN strategy management processes.

The technologies to be focused on in line with the targets set in the ASELSAN Strategic Plan are reflected in the ASELSAN Technology Roadmap and Investment Plan targets, and are shaped in line with technology analysis and forecasting studies. In this direction, Technology Trend Analysis Reports are prepared, which are analyzed by the world's leading organizations and include emerging technology areas that can be described as breakthroughs and technology trends that will gain importance in the future. With these studies, it is aimed to give a broad perspective on the technologies of the future by examining technologies from the perspective of multiple disciplines, and the relationship of these technologies with ASELSAN technologies is examined and analyzed.

ASELSAN Academy

In 2017, ASELSAN launched ASELSAN Academy, the fourth generation university model, with the aim of taking the cooperation between industry and academia one step further. ASELSAN Academy, a first in Turkey, continues to develop and expand every year based on the principles of open innovation, co- development and sustainable cooperation.

ASELSAN Entrepreneurship Center

In recent years, institutions in the world have started to feel more willing to act together with the high energy and dynamic structures of startups and entrepreneurs. When you combine this agile structure of entrepreneurs with the power of well-established institutions, a serious potential emerges. In this way, the speed of the targeted products to the market increases considerably, and the risks of entrepreneurs and investors are reduced. This situation creates a win-win situation for both corporate companies and entrepreneurs.

R&D and Innovation Awards

According to the "R&D 250, Turkey's Companies with the Highest R&D Expenditures" survey prepared by Turkishtime and announced in 2021, ASELSAN was the company with the highest R&D expenditure in 2020 with TL 3,356,327,355. According to the results of the same survey, ASELSAN was Turkey's leader and the champion of the R&D 250 with 1117 female personnel employed at its R&D Center. With 5,264 undergraduate and graduate experts working in R&D, ASELSAN ranked at the top in terms of human resources, just as it did in terms of expenditures. Another striking feature of ASELSAN is that it has nearly twice as many undergraduate and postgraduate personnel as the next company.
