ASELSAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER

In recent years, institutions in the world have started to feel more willing to act together with the high energy and dynamic structures of startups and entrepreneurs. When you combine this agile structure of entrepreneurs with the power of well-established institutions, a serious potential emerges. In this way, the speed of the targeted products to the market increases considerably, and the risks of entrepreneurs and investors are reduced. This situation creates a win-win situation for both corporate companies and entrepreneurs.

When we examine the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Türkiye, it is seen that the number of high technology startups is quite low. In the ecosystem, business innovation ideas that aim to get results in a short time and have low investment needs come to the fore. High-tech startups on the other hand, need patient investors, expert technical mentors to guide them and special testing and production infrastructures. As ASELSAN, we aim to reach this entrepreneurial profile that exists in our country and can play a more active role in the ecosystem. By providing some opportunities that they cannot find elsewhere, we aim to contribute to the competitiveness of both ASELSAN and our country and to strengthen our strategic independence.

In line with these goals, our ASELSAN Entrepreneurship Center Department was established in our Ankara Macunköy campus in the middle of 2021 under our Technology and Strategy Management Vice Presidency. In the first stage, with the cooperation agreement signed with Technopark Istanbul, a communication office was opened in Istanbul and negotiations with entrepreneurs were started. In order to increase the effectiveness of the ASELSAN Entrepreneurship Center, numerous meetings were held with public institutions and organizations, corporate firms and advanced technology initiatives in both Ankara and Istanbul entrepreneurship ecosystems.
